Artist Statement
"All life is powered by the sun, but nurtured by the earth. We all need to recognize the importance of its soil, and understand that only a thin layer covers the earth's bedrock. Composed of organic matter, air and tiny particles of rock, soil provides plants with the vital nutrients they need. And they in turn sustain all humans and animals.

It is my goal to build community and build soil. To build soil, we must put nutrients back into the earth. Composting our food waste is an important way to do this."
