Creation Station Day Camp (age 5 - 7)
Monday - Thursday, August 6 - 9, 9 a.m. - noon

Welcome to a not-so-traditional creative summer experience full of variety, fun, and nature-adventures! Discover how unusual art-project materials such as spray bottles, twigs and antacid tabs can be used to design unique works of art. Play with color by concocting fizzy mixtures, chalkboard slime, and a DIY lava lamp. Explore the Arboretum gardens and woods together while hunting for items to make fragrant herb potions and a tiny tree house for an animal creation.

Bug Hunters and Dirt Detectives Day Camp (age 5 - 7)
Monday - Thursday, August 13 - 16, 9 a.m. - noon
Special Guest: Exotic insects from Como Park Zoo

Creepy crawlies are some of the coolest creatures around! Hearts will sing (or buzz) with adventure while searching for bugs, worms and butterflies. Discover why these critters play an important role in the ecosystem and where the best places are to observe these animals in action. Investigations continue as Como Zoo brings in some buggy guests, and we dig even deeper to get the scoop on dirt while exploring what it's made of, where it came from and of course, what type makes the best mud pies!

Garden Harvest Hoopla Day Camp (age 5 - 7)
Monday - Thursday, August 20 - 23, 9 a.m. - noon

It's harvest time in the gardens, join in on the excitement! Collect fragrant herbs, delicious vegetables and beautiful flowers, then use the harvested goodies to mix up tasty snacks and create works of art. Investigate garden ecosystems to learn whether the bug crawling under that leaf is a pest or valued guest. Use science principles to inspect the wow-worthy insides of fruits and vegetables, take time for imaginative outdoor play, and bring home some beauty from the garden to share with family.
