The Arboretum's Cancelation Policy was developed to accommodate for changes in our customers' plans and in consideration of class planning and instructor engagement.

ADULT EDUCATION CANCELLATION POLICIES

TRANSFERS
You may transfer your registration to an alternate person if you cannot attend. All transfers can be done by calling the Education Department at 612-301-1210 or email at ArbEdu@umn.edu

REFUNDS
You may cancel a class and receive a partial refund if we are contacted 2 weeks prior to the first class. Please call or email the Education Department to cancel your class and we will process your refund less a $5.00 cancellation fee.
Cancellations made within 2 weeks of the class cannot be refunded or exchanged (however they can be transfered to another person to attend in your place). In the event that the Arboretum must cancel a class, you will be notified by phone and/or email, and you will receive a full refund.  

EXCHANGES
You may exchange for a different class or classes of equal or greater value 2 weeks prior to the first class. All exchanges can be done by calling the Education Department at 612-301-1210 or email at ArbEdu@umn.edu


YOUTH EDUCATION CANCELLATION POLICIES

 For the following Youth Programs:
  • All Day Camps (excluding Friday Favorites) 
  • Weekly Children's Garden

Registration fees include a $25 non-refundable deposit

REFUNDS
Refunds less a $25 non-refundable deposit will be given for those cancelling 30 days or more before the start of camp. No refunds nor exchanges will be given to those who withdraw less than 30 days prior to start date.

EXCHANGES
Exchanges are permitted 30 days or more before the start of camp with no penalty. No refunds nor exchanges will be given to those who withdraw less than 30 days prior to start date

For the following Youth Programs:

  • PeaPods for Preschoolers
  • Intergenerational TogetherTime
  • Special Access Experiences at the Bee Center

CANCELLATION POLICY
No refunds if cancellation is less than two weeks in advance.
Cancellations prior to two weeks of the tour will be refunded all money paid less $50 handling fee.

PAYMENT
Payment is due 30 days prior to event date. Final adjustments in numbers may be made one week prior to event date. Make all checks payable to: Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, Attn: Education

YOUTH GROUPS
For the following programs:

Programs are held rain or shine. In extreme weather conditions, we reserve the right to cancel programs for your safety. You will not be charged a cancellation fee under these circumstances. No refunds if you cancel less than 30 days in advance. Final adjustment count for # of students and all field trip fees are due at least 30 days in advance.


SCHOOL PROGRAM CANCELLATION POLICIES

Amended policies during COVID-19 pandemic, applicable to all 2020-2021 bookings until further notice

  1. During ongoing COVID-19 health concerns for 2020, we will be requiring cancellations, final student count and payment at least two weeks in advance (regular deadline is 30 days in advance).
  2. Cancellations received with at least two weeks' notice will be provided a refund for the amount you paid minus a $7.50 processing fee. 
  3. If the Arboretum needs to cancel a scheduled program, we will work with you to try to reschedule. If we are unable to reschedule, a full refund will be provided.

Waitlist
The best chance of being enrolled in a sold out class is to add your name to the waitlist. Click the orange "waitlist" button next to the class and complete the form. There is no obligation to register if a spot opens. If the waitlist shows enough demand, additional sessions may be added.
