Known especially for its selection of unique gift items, the store showcases the work of many local artisans offered at very attractive prices. Of particular appeal is the extensive collection of gardening and landscaping books. Whether looking for a one-of-kind gift for a friend, a nature-related item for a child, or something fun personally, shoppers will find it in the gift store. Arboretum members receive a 10% discount on all purchases when presenting a current membership card.

May 2 & 3, 2009 9 a.m.-4 p.m. The gift store will be selling bare root hostas and grasses. There are many advantages to purchasing bare root plants including: more economical, wider selection and easier to transport. These earth-friendly plants have been field grown for two years before being harvested so they have mature root structures which you can see for yourself. They are packaged and labeled, ready for planting in their new home-your garden. Photographs of leafed-out plants will help you identify your selections.
