The Society of Minnesota Sculptors will present its annual exhibition May 16 - June 5 at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. 

The exhibition will fill the Oswald Visitor Center's Great Hall and outside near the entrance with over 60 sculptures ranging in size from tabletop pieces to large, free-standing creations to comprehensive installations in a range of media, including stone, bronze, fabricated metal, ceramic, glass and wood.  A variety of artistic styles - from contemporary to traditional, representation to abstract - will be featured.

Meet the sculptor and informal guided tours will be offered from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, May 21, 28 & 29 during the exhibit.

Awards for the top six sculptures will be presented at the closing reception on Sunday, June 5 at 3 p.m.  Selection of winners will be determined by public voting.

The Society of Minnesota Sculptors was founded in 1943 by a group of prominent art educators in Minneapolis.  Since then, it has grown to over 75 members throughout the state.
