Reedy Gallery Presents 'Imagine Spring' Feb. 3 through March 31, 2012
Reedy Gallery presents "Imagine Spring," running from Feb. 3 through March 31, 2012. Spring is waiting under the dirt, resting, keeping warm, building healthy roots, preparing. This year's spring show will help you to imagine and anticipate the beauty that awaits us.
Flowers and figures are featured in this hand-picked selection of paintings and drawings. Edward Holmberg will show five of his beautiful, large watercolor and pastel floral paintings. Gorgeous blooming fruit trees by Kairong Liu will give spring a head start. Among the flowers there are figure drawings and paintings by William Brauer, Keith Wilcock and the late Jerome Ryan. Arden Harrison-Bushnell, who creates beautifully decorated fabric wall hangings, will show two pieces, including "Dog Park," which won a People's Choice award at the 2010 State Fair. In all, the work of 17 artists is on display.
All of the paintings are for sale through the Arboretum Gift Store, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Arboretum.
