Capturing Nature's Beauty: Two Artists Inspired by the Arboretum

Paintings by Carol (aka Gray) McIntyre & Karen Knutson
Exhibit: October 29, 2008 - January 4, 2009
Meet the artists: Sunday, November 2, 2-4 p.m.

This colorful exhibit will illustrate how differently two creative hearts and minds "see" the same world. Two artists begin with the same inspiration, but follow their creative muses along separate paths to present distinctive views. Carol (aka Gray) McIntyre presents a realistic perspective on the Arboretum's flora and landscapes, while Karen Knutson offers a more abstracted interpretation.

Along with the paintings, two interpretive displays will outline the steps each artist followed to portray the same subject, such as a scene from the crabapple grove. Preview the artists' work at www.mcintyrefineart.com and www.karenknutson.com.
