Bright tulips and daffodils are favorite signs of spring, but FALL is actually the season to plant them! Find out why in this hands-on lesson. Build foundational science skills by exploring bulbs and taking one apart to find the surprising plant parts hidden inside.

  • What bulbs are already hiding in your kitchen?
  • Observe and sort familiar bulbs
  • Follow a Minnesota bulb's life cycle throughout the year
  • Conduct a bulb experiment and discover a way to bring a bit of spring to your classroom in the middle of winter
  • PLANT BULBS for each student that will grow and bloom within a month
