Earn Your Scout Badge: Girl Scout Badge Trips

For Scouts or kids in grades 2-6
Earn your scouting badge with help and fun from the Arboretum! Each program meets all requirements for the listed badge (badge not included). Designed for Junior Girl Scouts but appropriate for any boys and girls in grades 2-6.

For Scouts in grades 2-6

Want a private date for your group?
Private dates can be arranged for your group, based on availability. Minimum 30 day advance notice to reserve. Minimum 8 paid participants. Send email with Requested Date and time, Second Choice date and time if first is not available, age(s) of the group, and # of kid participants to:

Earn Your Scout Badge: Flowers

For Scouts in grades 2-6
Private dates for groups (Available May-September; minimum 8 participants) available upon request; see how to request a custom date below

Flowers are beautiful, but what will you learn when you dig a little deeper? Explore the art and science of flowers, and enjoy a healthy "fruits and flowers" snack at the Arboretum as you learn-and-earn the requirements for your Junior Flowers Badge, which are
  1. Uncover the science of one flower
    Enjoy a tour of the Arboretum and draw one of our flowers like a scientist would
  2. Look under the petals
    Explore flowers under the microscope
  3. Find out how flowers help people
    Create a scent sack and learn about the power of flowers
  4. Have fun with flowers
    Make folded flower crafts to take home
  5. Send a message in flower code
    Fold up a secret flower message

Limit 24, Learning Center
$20/child, includes Arboretum admission and admission for accompanying chaperones, activity materials and snack. Badge not included.

Waitlist
The best chance of being enrolled in a sold out class is to add your name to the waitlist. Click the orange "waitlist" button next to the class and complete the form. There is no obligation to register if a spot opens. If the waitlist shows enough demand, additional sessions may be added.
