(Optional) Introductory Online Meet-&-Greet for Registered Students
Thursday, January 6, 2022, 5-6 p.m.
There will be an optional introductory meet-and-greet with Laura, your Course Coordinator, and fellow students! We will go over how to log in, share our burning questions we're hoping to learn from the course, and talk about live learning opportunities along the way. The meeting is optional and will be pre-recorded for those who cannot attend the live session. Please check your email: a link to this optional online meeting was sent in your class registration confirmation.
(Optional) Live-Online Facilitated Q&A Sessions
6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursdays, January 20 - April 21, 2022
You may optionally choose to virtually attend a Q&A session with your classmates and facilitators (and occasional guest experts) online to review the module content. Registered attendees will receive links to attend these sessions if desired.
How it works - online
Registered participants will receive course login information and details by email from your Course Teaching Assistant, Laura, on or before January 6, 2022. The online course is self-paced, and you will have access to complete all the online information, modules, and quizzes through December 2022. If you have questions or challenges with accessing the online course, Laura will be available to assist you (reference her contact information below)!
Reference manual is included
A hard-copy reference manual will be mailed to you prior to the course start date, approximately mid January. When you register for the course, be sure to complete the question box to enter your mailing address where we should send the manual. Or write -no manual- in that question box if you do not want a paper manual (help save a tree!).
Expect an average of 40 - 60 hours to complete all the course material and quizzes.
Certificate of Completion
Earn a Certificate of Completion by passing each of the 14 online knowledge quizzes that are available after each module.
A $5 cancellation fee is applicable to all cancellations prior to December 20, 2021. No refunds after December 20, 2021, but course registration is transferable through January 3, 2022 by contacting the Education Office at ArbEdu@umn.edu. See cancellation policy.
