Level: Beginner to intermediate Lightroom users One of the best applications available for post-camera editing of photographs is Adobe Lightroom. This class will introduce you to the program's features and tools and teach you how to bring your imagery to a higher quality level. You'll learn how to make exposure adjustments, improve contrast and color saturation, and bring clarity and focus to an image. You will remove unwanted spots and red eye and discuss histograms and how to adjust them. You will become comfortable making numerous other improvements and leave confident in your ability to make your images the very best they can be. REQUIRED EQUIPMENT: DSLR camera, laptop with Adobe Lightroom subscription/software (free 30-day trial available at www.adobe.com/downloads.html) NOTE: Sorry, iPads cannot be used for this class.

Level: Advanced beginner to intermediate Lightroom users Delve further into the tools and functionality of Adobe Lightroom. Participants will gain deeper control of their photography with additional ways to manipulate and enhance their images. Hands-on class time will be spent working on specific edit changes to learn more precise, intermediate-level skills that were not covered in the introductory Lightroom 101 class. Some of the tips, tricks, tools, techniques and best practices taught will include isolating color fields, making adjustments using channels, developing metadata, gaining additional hands-on time and practice with making selections and adjustments to masking, learning creative techniques with filters, working collaboratively with Lightroom and Photoshop programs, and making slideshows for export. This class will provide greater artistic freedom to those who want to expand their photography beyond what can be captured with a lens. Skills learned will advance prowess in editing and control settings, providing the photographer with a greater depth of knowledge and confidence. REQUIRED EQUIPMENT: Laptop with Adobe Lightroom subscription or software (free 30-day trial available at www.adobe.com/downloads.html) OR iPad with free Adobe Lightroom app.
