Best Places to Propose to your Sweetie!

PALMA J. WILSON ROSE GARDEN

Nothing says "I Love You" more than a rose.  And here you have hundreds to choose from. What's more, the walls lining the sides of the garden are alive with several varieties and colors of clematis. And, there are leisurely walkways, a beautiful fountain and gazebo to boot!

ELIZABETH CARR SLADE
PERENNIAL GARDEN

Love is in bloom, and so is this garden anytime between May and October.  Built around a central grassy circle that houses a pool and spectacular fountain, The Slade Perennial Garden features hundreds of flowering plants and shrubs. And if it's a sunny locale that you're looking for, this is the place!

Elbow at Three Mile Drive

"ELBOW" AT THREE-MILE DRIVE

A little bit more than half way along Three-Mile Drive, visitors are treated to a sweeping view of the Arboretum's Eastern Campus. With the Hedge Garden on the left and the iconic Red Barn with the new Bee & Pollinator Discovery Center across the rolling field in the distance, your proposal won't be the only thing to take her breath away!

MEYER-DEATS CONSERVATORY

Located next to the Auditorium in the historic Snyder Building, the Conservatory offers a taste of the tropics on even the coldest of Minnesota days. Here you will find flowering tropical plants such as Orchids and Bromeliads, as well as stately Palms and trailing vines. What could be more romantic?

JAPANESE GARDEN "TEA HOUSE"

Known for its peaceful serenity, the Japanese Garden is a favorite spot for many Arboretum visitors. Starry-eyed couples can delight in Japanese Iris, Red Buds and sculpted shrubs, surrounded by a waterfall, a koi pond, Japanese statues and meandering pathways that lead to a rustic Tea House.
