Behind-the-Scenes Exclusive Access Tour:
Bailey Nurseries

Thursday, June 14, 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.

As gardeners, we use Bailey's exceptional blooms such as Easy Elegance Roses® Endless Summer®Hydrangeas, and Proven Winners, now go behind the scenes and tour Minnesota's own Bailey Nurseries. You'll get an exclusive behind the scenes overview, including a visit the container farms, cold storage and Nord propagation, plus their display garden.
Tour leaves from the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, Chaska

$75, includes transportation from the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum and lunch

Behind-the-Scenes Exclusive Access Tour:
University of Minnesota Turfgrass Research and Outreach Center, Good Acre High Tunnel & Horticulture Research Center Tour

Thursday, June 14, 11:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
(Lunch on your own, Arboretum Cafe opens at 9:00 a.m.)

Tour leaves from the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, Chaska

Board a bus at the Arboretum with fellow Extension Master Gardeners for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of research fields, demonstration gardens that are usually only accessible to University of Minnesota faculty and students. Hear directly from the researchers on their turf (pun intended...the turf grass research plots are a stop on the itinerary), about the latest groundbreaking science taking place.

The tour will also visit the Good Acre High Tunnel to explore their cover crop research with Anne Pheiffer, Organic Program Associate from University of Minnesota Grossman Lab.

Then the tour will move onto the Horticulture Research Center in Chaska where you will experience the apple breeding program with David Bedford and the grape breeding program with Matt Clark.

$30, includes transportation from the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum and afternoon snack

Arboretum Self-Guided Tour

Thursday, June 14, 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.

Explore the magical summer landscape of the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, named best Botanical Garden by USA Today Readers Choice. You are invited to visit our summer exhibit Origami in the Garden, Arboretum Obscura Self-Guided Tour, meet art docents in the Chinese and Sculpture Gardens, visit the Andersen Horticultural Library, plus much more!

Visit the "Ask Me" Docents at the following locations:
2 p.m. - 3 p.m. - Sculpture Garden
3 p.m. - 4 p.m. - Chinese Garden
