Three pieces - life-size figures. With a bird perched on one hand, a lamb tucked under his arm and a dog looking on, the statue of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals and the environment, stands within a stone semi-circle on the Lilac Walk. It was created by Douglas O. Freeman and donated in memory of Frederich B. Wells, Jr., by his family in 1991. |
