Pea Pods For Preschoolers 
3-5 years + Adult
Pea Pods for Preschoolers provides the opportunity for you and your special little one to experience the enchantment of the plant world. Weekly themes delight the young learner through planting, art, science and sensory discovery, outdoor/greenhouse adventures, music, story time and a snack. Positive interactions with the natural world are an important part of healthy child development and provide life long skills, learning and joy. Developing this wonder in the early years focuses primarily on exploring and enjoying the world of nature under the guidance and with the companionship of caring adults. Be that connection! Come play and learn about nature!

PeaPods for preschoolers registration is by seasonal series of 10 weekly classes. For late registrants, remaining class sessions are available for purchase at a prorated price by calling 952-443-1422. Sessions offered include Fall, Winter/Spring and Summer. Register for several sesions to enjoy this special time together through the whole cycle of seasons at the Arboretum.

Your two year old is on the move and changing every day! Channel some of the energy and enhance that curiosity in a fun-filled adventure at the Arboretum. You and your inquisitive toddler will explore stations and activities designed especially with the two-year-old in mind! Including: garden exploration, story and music time, fine-motor fun, action time, outdoor/greenhouse adventures, planting, sensory exploration, and a snack. Continue to use your imaginations in our Pea Pods garden and the Green Play Yard. Be enchanted by the plant world - Come play and learn about nature!

Free play is nature helps produce healthier children - physically, mentally, and emotionally. Outside time allows for a place for doing, thinking, feeling, and just being! The Arboretum's Green Play Yard - natural play environment for early childhood and the Learning Center gardens and grounds are certain to inspire discovery and creative play. We will focus on a different aspect of outdoor play each week, with activities set up, ideas to get you started on your own, and time for you and your little one to discover the wonders of the natural world. Head Home refreshed with a tool bag of ideas for at home nature play. Spend just June with us OR come back in July for a whole new set of adventures! Come out and play!
