PeaPods For Preschoolers
Pea Pods for Preschoolers provides the opportunity for you and your special little one to experience the enchantment of the plant world. Weekly themes delight the young learner through planting, art, science and sensory discovery, outdoor/greenhouse adventures, music, story time and a snack. Positive interactions with the natural world are an important part of healthy child development and provide life long skills, learning and joy. Developing this wonder in the early years focuses primarily on exploring and enjoying the world of nature under the guidance and with the companionship of caring adults. Be that connection! Come play and learn about nature!
PeaPods registration is by seasonal sessions of 10 weekly classes. Sessions are offered Fall, Winter/Spring and Summer. You can register for one or several sesions to enjoy this special time together through the whole cycle of seasons at the Arboretum.

Out To Play!
Free play in nature helps produce healthier children--physically, mentally, and emotionally. Grown-ups, grab your two and three-year-old friends or your four and five-year old friends and let's head out! The Arboretum's new Green Play Yard--natural play environment for early childhood - is ready to be explored! The age appropriate play zones offer a mix of active and quiet spaces, rich in sensory appeal, and certain to inspire discovery and creative play. We will explore a different aspect of outdoor play each week with activities, ideas to get you started on your own, and time for you and your little one to discover the wonders of the natural world. Head home refreshed with a tool bag of ideas for at home natural play. Be the connection to nature with your child--come out and play!
