Visit the Uff da Palace!
From Scotland to France, Japan to Australia and now at the arboretum! With willow as his medium and the Arboretum as his inspiration, artist Patrick Dougherty spent most of May twisting and weaving sticks and tree saplings into an immense sculpture that now graces the center island fronting the Oswald Visitor Center. He was ably assisted by Arboretum volunteers and staff.
The sculpture was officially named the "Uff da Palace" on May 22.
Thank you, Patrick Dougherty, for your sharing your artistry , inspiration and sense of fun with Arboretum staff, volunteers and visitors during your residency here. Long live the Uff da Palace!
