The online service Plant Information Online is a free service.  This online database allows users to find sources for a particular plant, locate plant citations, find information on North American nurseries, and find basic plant information and illustrations on the web.

Native Plants for Northern Gardens (1991) $35.00 and Trees and Shrubs for Northern Gardens (2000) $29.95 were both written by the late Dr. Leon Snyder, the first director of the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum and recognized horticultural expert.  These books are excellent references for gardening or landscaping in our area.  Both books are available for purchase through the Arboretum Gift Store.
