EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN & FAMILIES

Join in the fun and explore the magical world of flowers, leaves, roots and stems. The Arboretum specializes in getting kids "up close and personal" with plants, including opportunities for children to be hands-on scientists, artists, chefs, and explorers. Our goal is to connect children with plants in a hands-on experiential way.

 peapods PreSchool Programs
The PreSchool programs provide an opportunity for you and your special little one to experience the enchantment of the plant world. Weekly themes delight the young learner through planting, art, sensory and science discovery, action, music, story time, snack, outdoor and greenhouse adventures.

Summer Day Camps
These one-, two-, & three-day camps offer a variety of ways to experience the wonders of the Arboretum. Our camps offer an engaging mix of hands-on plants, science adventure, imagination, art, food, and exploring for ages 4-14.

For our youngest campers we focus on fun, multi-sensory discovery of our amazing world. From tasting garden snacks to plantings to exploring the Arboretum and using our imaginations, we help campers feel safe as they try new things and meet new friends. As campers get older they can choose a camp with a more-focused theme, such as cooking, art, science adventure, or performance. More Information
