Going Into Fall (Updated Sept. 12) -  Late summer is the time to take in the annual garden, right across the roadway from the Home Demo Garden. The colors, the plant heights and the textures are things of jaw-dropping splendor at this time of year, all the way through to the first frost. The only thing that will make it even more amazing is when the fall foliage gets added in to create an impossibly beautiful autumn canvas. Don't miss the Dahlias, now in stunning full bloom, both on the upper walkway behind the Snyder Building and in the Dahlia trials out on Three-Mile Drive just past the Sculpture Garden. The hop-on, hop-off Bee Line Shuttles (Thursday through Sunday, 11:30-4:30) make it easy to spend the day and see everything the Arboretum has to offer.
