Gophers in the Gardens
Get ready for a "gopher" invasion as the Arboretum embarks on a summer-long celebration of one beloved "maroon and gold-garbed" rodent.
"Gophers in the Gardens" is a whimsical collection of gopher statues celebrating the history of the University of Minnesota and the Arboretum (which is part of the University's College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences).
The exhibit will feature 10 Goldy Gopher statues—each 4 ft. 6 in. tall and custom-designed by Minnesota and regional artists selected through a juried art call—and then placed throughout the Arboretum grounds. See if you can find them all!

Where is Arboretum Goldy?
Arboretum Goldy is missing! He's decided one view of the Arboretum isn't enough to see all the beauty the grounds offer and will change locations every two weeks. We need super sleuths to track down where he's hiding. If you find him, report his location to the Information Desk at the Visitor Center and be rewarded with a Goldy Gopher sticker!
