Minnesota Landscape Arboretum

Enjoy interpretations of the Arboretum and various landscapes around Minnesota and the Upper Midwest by local artists. Works in oil, pastel, watercolor, acrylic, photography and other media help you deepen the experience of your visit and reflect on the natural environment and your role in it.

The gallery features 4-5 exhibits per year and touches on themes ranging from plant conservation to vanishing landscapes to just plain beauty. From time to time, exhibiting artists teach classes and workshops at the Arboretum that incorporate an outdoor component. Exhibits are open year-round during scheduled building hours and are free with paid admission.

Artworks in the Reedy Gallery are for sale.

Gallery Mission and Selection Criteria

Preference will be given to artists who live in Minnesota, but artists from the 5-state region and beyond may also be considered. Art must be nature related, featuring some aspect of plant or animal life, including humans in relationship to nature. The Arboretum welcomes proposals for new works interpreting one or more features of the Arboretum (e.g., animals, plants, wetlands, woodlands, prairie, gardens, etc.).
