FRIENDS OF THE ANDERSEN HORTICULTURAL LIBRARY

The Friends of the Andersen Horticultural Library was formed in 1988 and is open to all interested members of the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum.  The stated goals of the Friends are to stimulate public awareness of the Library and to encourage the use of its collections, to sponsor lectures and informational programs in conjunction wth the Arboretum and Library, to encourage the publication of information and research from the Arboretum and the Library in Horticulture and Natural History, and to help develop the collections of the Library by encouraging gifts, endowments, and memorials.

An attractive newsletter and invitations to special events are two of the benefits of becoming a member of the friends. The Friends meet five times a year for lectures and demonstations based on horticulture and natural history.

FRIENDS BOOKSALE

The 2009 Booksale was held October 2-4, 2009 and was a wonderful event.  Thanks to all the volunteers who donated books, sorted books, sold books, hauled books and made this event a success.  THANK YOU!

The Friends of the Andersen Horticultural Library are no longer accepting book donations at this time for 2009.  We will resume accepting donations of gently used books, magazines, CDs, and DVDs after Jan2, 2010 and continue collecting until September 2010.
