Arboretum Hosting Mill City Farmers Market Saturday, March 16, 2013 10 a.m.- 1 p.m. Oswald Visitor Center
The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum will play host to the Mill City Farmers Market and its popular vendors for a day of browsing and shopping quality, home-grown food products. Visitors can shop for everything from pickles to maple syrup to freshly milled grains and flours, honey and artisan cheeses. As a special treat, local acclaimed chef and restauranteur Brenda Langton will make a guest appearance to sign copies of her popular Spoonriver Cookbook. Mill City Farmers Market's own chef, Heather Hartman, will be on-site for a cooking demonstration and sampling a delicious wild rice salad.

Founded in 2006 by local chef and whole foods educator Brenda Langton, the Mill City Farmers Market has earned a reputation for its promotion and support of local, sustainable and organic agriculture. Typically located next to the Guthrie Theater and Spoonriver restaurant in downtown Minneapolis, the market is making its second annual appearance at the Arboretum. http://millcityfarmersmarket.org/
