On Tuesday, April 22, the officially designated Earth Day, the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum is offering free gate admission to carpoolers , hybrid-vehicle occupants and anyone with a bicycle. (Please note: There are no designated bike lanes on State Highway 5.)  Bicyclists are allowed on Three-Mile Drive.  (Please follow the signage.)

Also on Earth Day, our very own horticulture expert Peter Moe will be interviewed on TWIN CITIES LIVE, a show about Minnesotans created by Minnesotans.  The program begins at 3 p.m. on Channel 5 (KSTP).  We hope you'll tune in to watch Peter demonstrate how to plant a container herb garden for your kitchen windowsill.
