Many Shakespearean plays are set in nature, so it's appropriate to gather in the garden for the second in our three-part series featuring "People, Plants, and . . . Literature" Saturday, July 9 when Toni McNaron, U of M English professor emerita, comes to the Arboretum to read and discuss the works of William Shakespeare. Meet on the terrace immediately behind the Snyder Building at 10:30 a.m.; dress comfortably for walking and lawn-sitting. In case of rain, the event will move to the Snyder Auditorium.
