A Walking Play, Fitness Walking & Fall Nature Walks

Enjoy the beauty of the Arboretum as you walk. Walk along with performers of The Budda Prince – a mix of physical theater outdoors, puppetry and traditional Tibetan music and dance celebrating the life of the Dalai Lama. The play, set for 4:30 p.m. this Thursday (Sept. 10), is free with admission and is presented by the University of Minnesota Center for Spirituality & Healing.

Fitness walking is a great way to get or stay in shape with a trained instructor. Fitness walking involves strides of short, fast-paced bursts interspersed with slower paced segments. The instructor will meet participants at the Ordway Parking Lot. The walks are conducted from 9–10 a.m., Tuesdays & Thursdays through Oct. 29. Members who become walkers can purchase a four-session punch card for $32/non-member $40. An eight-session punch card is $56 member/$72 non-member.

See the natural essence of fall with a Fall Foray Nature Walk, 8:30 – 10:30 a.m., Sept. 16. Walks are also scheduled for Sept. 23, Oct. 7 & 14. Walkers can register for a single session or the series. The walks are led by Arboretum Naturalist Matt Schuth. The walks are $12 per member/$15 for non-member per session. Check the link below for details about walk locations.
