Buy a bag, get second bag of apples half off at AppleHouse


The AppleHouse is offering special pricing on bags of apples. When you purchase one bag of apples, the second same-pound amount is half off. This includes premium varieties but not apples by the pound unless you purchase bags that weigh at least 5 pounds. Sorry, no additional discounts apply. The AppleHouse is located 1.5 miles west of the Arboretum entrance in Chanhassen on State Highway 5 and Rolling Acres Road. For a daily update of available apple varieties, call the AppleHouse Hotline at 952-443-1409.  Visitors can shop daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Enjoy 'Autumn Unplugged'

 

 

'Autumn Unplugged' celebrates the serene beauty of fall with its golden sunlight, brisk air and crackling leaves.  Take in fall color, and  Pumpkin Palooza, an eye-popping indoor display of fall's favorite plant in all its glorious variety that will continues through Nov. 1 in the Great Hall of the Oswald Visitor Center. Visitors will also enjoy plentiful pumpkins scattered around the grounds, plus our always-popular Scarecrows on Parade. Happy Hour Thursdays @ the Arboretum- Extended! 

Thursdays, Oct. 22 & 29, from 4:30-6 p.m.

Join the Arboretum for Happy Hour Thursdays. Sample Trinity Oak wine flights and specially priced appetizers. Other wine and beer is also available. Join us in the Restaurant & Newton Terrace.

 

Don’t Miss Pumpkin Palooza Weekend 

Oct. 24 & 25

Feast your eyes on this spectacular pumpkin display, and enjoy a screening of Bill's Big Pumpkins documentary at 1 and 2:30 p.m.  Watch master pumpkin-carvers and visit with U of M pumpkin growers. All this takes place in the Oswald Visitor Center. Also, informal guided tours of new Seasons exhibit of oils and watercolors in Reedy Gallery featuring 13 artists Or head down to the Marion Andrus Learning Center to make a mini-pumpkin head with your kids from noon to 4 p.m. both days ($1 per mini-pumpkin). 

 

Ar-BOO-retum Halloween (Saturday, Oct. 31)

 Celebrate Halloween with Gift Store specials, apples for "trick or treaters," ghosts & goblins on parade and storytimes in the Library, free cookie in Restaurant and other fun events! Free admission for everyone arriving in costume. Catch a screening of "Bill's Big Pumpkins" at 1 or 2:30 p.m. in MacMillan Auditorium.

Key West Garden                   & travel Tour Info Meeting with Peter Olin

 

Join us at the Arboretum Saturday, Nov. 14 from 11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. for a presentation on the upcoming Miami/Key West tour, Feb. 18 - 24.  We will be combining the presentation with a reunion of the folks who went on the Key West Trip this past February.  There will be photo sharing and Powerpoint presentations, as well as refreshments. Arboretum Director Emeritus Peter Olin and Robin Fox of Macy's Travel will be there to answer questions. Review the trip brochure at the link below.
