Arb Staffers Name Their Favorite Places

We recently asked Arboretum visitors, "What is your favorite place at the Arboretum?" Some of their replies are published in the June issue of Arboretum News. Here's what some Arb staffers replied:

"My favorite spot to take a quiet moment during peak wedding season is at the top of the waterfall in the Woodland Azalea Garden where the water runs through the rock path before tumbling into the Koi pond.  I love the sound of the water and the wind rustling the leaves above."
-Lindsay Sypnieski, Visitor Services and Reservations Manager

"My favorite spot at the Arboretum is the Dayton Wildflower Garden. The meandering path through trees, shrubs and forbs is a paradise year round.  I feel as if I am in the Garden of Eden.  The woodland wildflowers are not matched anywhere else I've ever been."
-Jeffrey Johnson, Landscape Gardener/Woody Plants Specialist

"My favorite spot at the Arboretum is at the base of High Point because it is the location of Acer Saccharum ' Temple's Upright '-Temples Upright Maple. For some reason this tree fascinates me. It is very hard to find in Minnesota, which makes it so intriguing."
-Nate Kells, Marketing Associate
