Associate Development Officer
Corporate Relations/Individual Giving
The Associate Development Officer-Corporate and Individual Relations works to establish and facilitate relationships with a wide range of corporate/business and individual donors. This position will will identify the appropriate approach/giving channel for each potential supporter to present a compelling case for support to the Arboretum.

Development Officer Individual Giving
Responsible primarily for the independent management of a dynamic portfolio of donors. Work with donors to move them through the donor commitment continuum. Identify unique, donor-specific ways to cultivate and engage donors, culminating in Major Gift solicitation. Support both annual and long-term fundraising goals of the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum Foundation, securing both annual gifts for operations and capital/endowment gifts for new projects.

Gift & Garden Store Assistant Manager
The Gift & Garden Store is the primary location for retail revenue which supports the operations of the Arboretum. The staff is comprised of 10-15 front-line employees, depending on the season, and six volunteers along with a management team. In addition, a second satellite store is open from August thru November and is included in the scope of retail operations. There is a potential for additional pop-up stores in the future. This position is responsible for supervision of all Gift Store staff and volunteers. This position functions as the point person in the absence of the manager for store operations, merchandising decisions and issues related to buying. This position must be able to collaborate across all Arboretum departments to promote and advance the objectives of the store.

Master Gardener Coordinator (Isanti County)
University of Minnesota Extension is recruiting candidates for a 39% time Master Gardener Coordinator Position in Isanti County. A BA/BS in management or related field with at least 2 years of experience (such as managing volunteer programs and leading teams) or a combination of related education and work experience to equal six (6) years is required. Previous experience as a volunteer coordinator and knowledge or interest in horticulture preferred.

OVERVIEW: This position is responsible for picking, sorting and bagging apples in the Arboretum Applehouse
This is a temporary, seasonal position starting in August and ending in October.
100 % Apple Production Support
- Unload field crates and bulk boxes of apples from trucks
- Learn and follow Apple House policies and procedures.
- Sort apples based on size, condition , color and maturity
- Carefully place apples in bags and boxes for sale
- Price bags and boxes
- Correctly label tables and bulk displays
- Insure that display of merchandise and apples is adequately stocked and presented.
- Keep apple house and grading area clean and organized
- Answer customer questions while you are on the sales floor.
- Remove poor quality apples from sales floor or discount for quick sale
- Assist with other jobs in the apple house as needed
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Able to read, write, and understand English language
- Ability to sort by color
- Must be able to follow oral and written instructions
- Able to work in a variety of work environments
- Ability stand up for 4-6 hours continuously
- Successful completion of a background check
Pay range $13 - $15 per hour
