All About Dogs Day 5K & Pet Expo

10 - 11 a.m., 5K Dog Walk on Three-Mile Drive for owner and dog

10:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. Pet Expo, Margot Picnic Shelters: information and products on dog fitness and diet, healthy dog treats, ideas for pet-friendly lawns and gardens by Arboretum and University of Minnesota Extension staff, demonstration of dog agility and more. All event proceeds benefit the Arboretum.

Hot Chocolate Walks
Life goes on under winter's quiet cover. Venture out with a naturalist to search the Arboretum's snowy landscape for traces and trails of winter residents. Discover the strategies of plants and animals that survive the frosty northland. Warm up afterward in the restaurant with a free cup of hot chocolate. Hot beverage coupon included with tour. Led by Matt Schuth, Arboretum Naturalist.

Great Hall of Oswald Visitor Center and outdoors
Learn Nordic walking and snowshoe techniques from Hoigaard's and Arboretum staff,  who will lead guided tours at noon, 1 p.m., 2 p.m. (estimated times). Limited quantity of snowshoe and walking poles equipment to try out.  Limited quantity of children's snowshoe sizes..
