One-Hour Enrichment Programs

Summer 2017

Suggested ages 6 - 10
Learning can be fun! Come on your own or with a group of friends! Get extra hands-on scien-terrific fun during an Arboretum visit.

Amazing Bees!
One-hour Enrichment Experience
ages 6-10

Explore the world of the honey bees, bumble bees, leaf-cutter bees, sweat bees, mason bees, and more, and find out how they achieve their status as champion pollen movers. Without their work, our grocery stores and gardens would look sadly different. Search for bee diversity in the Bee Center's garden for pollinators, explore the pollinator exhibits, and get a taste of the honey bees' sweet treasure from the hive!

Limit 40 students, Tashjian Bee and Pollinator Discovery Center

NOTE Adults should plan to attend with their child. Non-participating siblings are welcome to attend at no charge if they are not a distraction to the group. Siblings who participate in the activities should also be registered.

$8/student includes registration for one child and an accompanying adult, honey tasting and all supplies (NOTE that Arboretum admission is not included for non-member adults)

Select any Summer Friday!
10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
