Play games and make new friends. Explore Arboretum gardens, find scratch'n'sniff plants, look for tadpoles, and discover the magical fairies that protect our plants. Make a fairy garden and other take-home plantings. New this year, on the final day of camp we are going to really dig in and thoroughly play in the mud, in the really messy way that makes kids cheer and parents cringe. With the help of a hose and a change of clothes, kids will be squeaky clean again before it's time to go home!

Hunt for the Arboretum's biggest and smallest flowers, learn the difference between an "open-house" flower and a "by-invitation-only" flower, plant take-home gardens for "butterfly babies" and "pollen lovers," and enjoy themed snacks and games. Each day will include a short circle time, a snack, a planting project, and an adventure or two! |

It's harvest time in the gardens! Gather garden treats to make tasty snacks, turn into a veggie creature and make veggie art. Investigate whether the bug crawling under that leaf is a pest or valued guest. Each day will include a short circle time, a snack, garden time, and an adventure or two! New this year, in celebration of our Dirt-O-Rama summer exhibit, on the final day of camp we are going to really dig in and thoroughly play in the mud, in the really messy way that makes kids cheer and parents cringe. With the help of a hose and a change of clothes, kids will be squeaky clean again before it's time to go home!

Work with a chef to explore using herbs for flavor. Harvest herbs from our garden to make minty fruit smoothies, seasoned roasted potatoes, mini herb frittatas, and special herbed shortbread cookies. Young cooks will make enough to both taste in class and bring home to share with family! |
