The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum is pleased to announce the five winners and two alternates for its "Art of the Earth" juried design competition. These designs will be presented at the Arboretum as part of its summer exhibition titled "Dirt-O-Rama: Intriguing Tales from the Underground" which runs June 3 - October 14, 2012.
The five winners are:

"Ant Venture", submitted by Albert Belleveau of Poposky, Minnesota

"The Amazing Mother Earth Composter", submitted by Seitu Ken Jones of St. Paul, Minnesota with collaborator Gordon Park High School

"Earthly Coat", submitted by Wendy J. Johnson of Crystal Bay, Minnesota with collaborators Colleen Werdien and West End Welding

"Eco-Earthworms", submitted by Paul Rieffer, Donna Tabat and Jill Spohn of St. Paul, Minnesota
-
"Temporary Measures to Stabilize the Soil", submitted by Daniel Dean and Ryan Wurst of Minneapolis.
The two alternates are:

"IN and OUT", submitted by Greg Ingraham of Minneapolis Minnesota and collaborators Art-Tech and Gary Hittle
- "Life Beneath Our Feet: Burrowing Animals", submitted by Linda Taylor of Lakeville, Minnesota
