Arboretum Opens Gift Store in Galleria for Holiday Shopping
Enjoy the ‘Flavor of the Arboretum' at new temporary Edina store
Chanhassen, MN (Oct. 19, 2009) - The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum's Gift Store - a shopper's haven of local handicrafts and unique gardening gifts - will once again offer a holiday store in the Galleria shopping center in Edina, Minn.
The Arboretum holiday store at the Galleria will be open during shopping center hours from Friday, Oct. 23, through Dec. 31. Occupying 1,500 square feet across from Origins, the Arboretum store will sell unique handcrafted jewelry, artful prints, specialty baking mixes, wood-turned bowls, pottery, gift nature books and other treasures. For collectors of yard art, the Yardley collection promises new one-of-a-kind pieces for the Galleria store, and patrons can expect a return of the ever-popular ironwork deer (the kind who will never ever graze on your hostas)!
For that hard-to-please person on your list, Arboretum gift cards and gift memberships will also be available. New this year is the apple cart selling apples from the Arboretum's Horticultural Research Center. Special events include naturalist Jim Gilbert signing his popular book, "Minnesota Nature Notes" on Sunday, Dec. 6, from 1 to 3 p.m., and Jan Dunlap signing her birdwatcher-themed murder mysteries from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 19.

Galleria offers an exceptional selection of casual dining, unique local shops and favorite specialty stores, wrapped within a sophisticated, relaxed atmosphere. Locally owned and managed by Gabbert & Beck Inc., Galleria is located at 69th Street and France Avenue in Edina, Minn. Regular hours are Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Restaurants and some stores operate additional hours. Holiday hours begin Friday, Nov. 27.
