Friendly volunteers await visitors of all ages in the Arboretum gardens on summer weekends, ready to talk about plants and nature with a warm welcome, free activities and helpful garden tips! Ask at the Visitor Center Information Desk for details, times, locations and directions.

DAYS Tuesdays and Saturdays, June - September 2019
TIME drop-in between 10:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.
LOCATION Morgan Terrace (behind the Snyder Building)
FREE with gate admission

Immerse yourself in the colors of summer! Learn how gardeners at the Arboretum select bloom combinations and try creating your own color palette. Cast your vote for your favorite flower color. Then let the Arboretum Guides help direct you to the best place to see the Arboretum's seasonal parade of colors today.

DAYS Saturdays and Sundays, June - September 2019
TIME drop-in between 12:30 p.m. - 3 p.m.
LOCATION Bee Center
FREE with gate admission

Put your taste buds to the test as you try honey from different flowers. Which flavor do you like best? Find out which kinds of flowers different pollinators prefer and investigate other bee-related products made from honey, beeswax, and more with the help of the Arboretum Guides.

Find knowledgeable volunteer Arboretum Guides at a kiosk in front of the Visitor Center eager to help you make the most of your visit. Stop by to find out what is in bloom today, where to find free activities, and other highlights. Volunteers can also guide you toward the gardens with a short starter tour.

Arboretum Members may invite non-members to attend a class with them at the discounted member rate! Simply register for all participants at the same time in the same order and select the "member" rate for each person at checkout.

Waitlist

The best chance of being enrolled in a sold out class is to add your name to the waitlist. Click the orange "waitlist" button and complete the steps, or call 612-301-1210. There is no obligation to register if a spot opens. If the waitlist shows enough demand, additional class sessions may be added.
