Friday Favorites One-Day Camps (ages 7-11)
Fridays 9 a.m. - noon.

Fridays are fun days at the Arb! This series of one-day mini-camps brings together some of summer's most popular activities and outdoor games, along with opportunities to dig a little deeper into the fascinating world of pollinators. Combine these fun-packed morning sessions with weekday camps to make a 5-day session, or just come for the day!
Each session: Limit 16
$30 members/$35 non-members, includes Arboretum admission, a snack, and any project supplies


  Fort Building: A Friday Favorite One-Day Camp (ages 7-11)
Friday, July 13, 9 a.m. - noon (995-07-13-18)

Become a master fort builder this summer! Using sticks, rope and other natural material, campers will work together to construct one-of-a-kind shelters for a morning of imaginative outdoor play!

Mud!: A Friday Favorite One-Day Camp (ages 7-11)
Friday, July 20, 9 a.m. - noon
(995-07-20-18)

Campers will explore, play, jump and squish in mud, glorious mud! Create mud crafts, search for critters that live in the mud and eat a "dirt" cup snack. Campers should come ready for a muddy good time! Parents, don't worry! Kids are 100% washable, and will be sprinkler-washed before being returned to you. Bring a towel, dry change of clothes and a plastic bag to hold the wet ones.

  Gifts from the Honey Bee Hive: A Friday Favorite One-Day Camp (ages 7-11)
Friday, July 27, 9 a.m. - noon
(995-07-27-18)

Explore the extraordinary life of a honey bee colony and how it creates honey, beeswax, and other treasures. Use these "gifts of the hive" to make your own beeswax products and honey treats! Take home exciting projects and recipes.

CSI Arboretum: A Friday Favorite One-Day Camp (ages 7-11)
Friday, August 3, 9 a.m. - noon
(995-08-03-18)

Put your detective skills to work solving uniquely Arboretum-themed "whodunits." Use forensic tools and techniques, teamwork, and real plant science to unlock clues and unravel mysteries.

  Butterfly Bonanza: A Friday Favorite One-Day Camp (ages 7-11)
Friday, August 10, 9 a.m. - noon (995-08-10-18)

Bring your sense of wonder as we explore the awe-inspiring lives of butterflies. The Arboretum gardens are the perfect setting to search for eggs, caterpillars, chrysalises, and butterflies! Use magnifiers and microscopes to look at them up close, create uniquely butterfly-themed crafts, and more.

  Summer's Greatest Hits: A Friday Favorite One-Day Camp (ages 7-11)
Friday, August 17, 9 a.m. - noon

Campers' favorite activities from a variety of Arboretum Summer Day Camps 2018 are brought back for one final hurrah! Come for an action-packed day filled with crafts, games, science experiments, adventures and fun camp-tacular surprises!

Waitlist

The best chance of being enrolled in a sold out class is to add your name to the waitlist. Click the orange "waitlist" button and complete the steps, or call 612-301-1210. There is no obligation to register if a spot opens. If the waitlist shows enough demand, additional class sessions may be added.
