Arboretum Photographers Society Presents ‘Blooming Fantasy' Exhibit
- Juried Show Featuring 32 Nature Scenes Opens Jan. 9 -

 Chanhassen (Dec. 24) - The upper Midwest's largest public garden will be bursting forth in colorful flowers and blossoms come January when "Blooming Fantasy," a juried photography exhibit, opens at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum in Chanhassen.

The show will highlight 32 exquisite nature images captured by members of the Arboretum Photographers  Society.  It opens Jan. 9 in the McQuinn Great Hall of the Oswald Visitor Center and continues through Feb. 8.  The photographs will be available for purchase. 

Members of the Photography Society also will conduct free, drop-in photo clinics between noon and 3 p.m. each Saturday and Sunday for the run of the exhibit.  The public is encouraged to bring questions and ideas for discussion. 

The Arboretum grounds are open from 8 a.m. to sunset every day; the Oswald Visitor Center is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday.  Gate admission is $7 for adults; free for members and ages 15 and younger. Admission is free every Thursday in winter.  

The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, the largest public garden in the Upper Midwest and a premier northern arboretum, is part of the College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences at the University of Minnesota and developed as a community and national resource for horticultural and environmental information, research, and public education. It is located nine miles west of I-494 on Highway 5 in Chaska.
