In Remembrance of Todd Bachman

The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum extends our deepest condolences to the
family of Todd Bachman, longtime supporter and friend.  Our thoughts are with
Barbara Bachman.  We wish her a speedy recovery.

Todd died recently while attending the 2008 Olympics in China.  Todd, his wife
Barbara and their Chinese tour guide were attacked while visiting a popular
tourist site in Beijing.  Barbara is recovering in a Beijing hospital.

Todd and Barbara have had a long and vibrant relationship with the Minnesota
Landscape Arboretum and the University of Minnesota.  Barbara is the former
president of the Arboretum Foundation board of trustees and remains a strong
supporter of Arboretum events.  Todd and Barbara made a major landscaping
gift to the entry plaza of the Oswald Visitor Center and have supported the
Arboretum in countless ways.

Our thoughts are with the Bachman family.
