Ornamental Grasses for Minnesota, Saturday, Feb. 7, 1-3 p.m. Find out which ornamental grasses are best for your garden. $20 /$30.
The Four-Season Garden, Saturday, Feb. 28; 10 a.m.-noon. Extend the pleasures of gardening by thinking beyond the growing season. $20/$30.
Dinner with a Chef, Thursday, Feb. 19, 6:30-9 p.m. The Star Tribune’s own Lee Svitak Dean will prepare cream of carrot soup, rock Cornish game hens with apple cider sauce, roasted potatoes with sage and garlic, and poached pears with caramel and pistachios. Fee: $45/$55. Dean is the author of the new cookbook, “Come One, Come All: Easy Entertaining with Seasonal Menus.”
Winter Watercolor Magic Art Workshop, Feb. 19-21, Learn beginning and intermediate-level watercolor techniques from popular instructor Charlotte Laxen. $220-$240.
